Main Menu

This is the first in a series of major updates from Microsoft.

Santa was very good to the Main Menu Team this year! You'll hear all about their holiday tech on this week's show. Was Santa good to you with a gift of a new Apple TV? Even if you were naughtier than you were nice, we have some great information about all the new accessible TV out there. Jeff, Larry and Jason talk with Chad Blanco about the changes to the Channels app, direct TV Now and more. Randy and Jason also talk about Spectrum's new accessibility features. So get your 2017 Couch Potato on with this week's Main Menu!

The world is a brightly wrapped package this time around on Main Menu. Jeff Bishop talks with Neva Fairchild, National Independent Living Employment Specialist at The American Foundation for the Blind Center for Low Vision about AFB's work. Then Jenine brings us a holiday guide to Apple Watch bands.

Main Menu is back with a packed show this week! We're having way too much fun with new gadgets and apps. Randy is here to help everyone who has a new Amazon Echo Dot with some cool tips and tricks. Jenine gets buzzed with her new Buzz Clip and identifies things with the new AI app identifyer!

This week on Main Menu we take a tour, Autour to be exact with Jeremy Cooperstock of McGill University. Autour is a unique GPS app for iOS that gives blind people a very interesting view of their surroundings. Then we say hello to Jason's new little friend the Amazon Echo Dot! Main Menu will be moving to a bi-weekly schedule after this fun filled show. This allows your team to bring you timely topics, exciting content and fewer reruns!

This week we get comfortable at Home. Google Home that is. Randy and Jason talk with Joe Steincamp about the newly released Google Home and much more, because that's what friends do, right? Right. You won't want to miss their conversation!

This week on Main Menu we start a series of interviews with people in the blindness community about their experiences with technology. Many of us know Dr. Robert Carter as "The Tech doctor" of podcast fame but Robert has been working with technology for many years and along with his job as a psychologist, he is very enthusiastic about the role technology can play in our lives. From the Apple Watch to braille, early office and academic technology to podcasting notoriety, we'll discuss it all!

We conclude the Microsoft Ignite series with this episode.
